PrairieGold Venture Partners is a Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based venture capital firm. Our mission is to provide a superior return on investment for our Limited Partners by investing in compelling early stage opportunities in the Midwest.

Venture capital has historically been underutilized in this region.  Coastal VCs often consider the Midwest to be “fly over” country, and can’t or won’t devote resources to sourcing deal flow here.  VCs that will consider investments in this region tend to focus, like most VCs, on larger deal sizes (i.e. > $10 million) and on growth or later stage opportunities.  This leaves a large class of deals that struggle to get funded: (1) Midwest; (2) smaller; and (3) earlier stage.  PrairieGold was founded to take advantage of this capital market inefficiency.
